What Darren & Ian did for a gal with eyesight problems = they made my day. Installed headlamps while I waited. And very swift service. We are coming back for tires soon. I would avoid this failed store like the plague. They will attempt to scam you. I went in for tires new tires. The salesman gave me the same old worn out routine, trying to act like he’s my friend. I, a certified automotive technician myself, explained to him that I had just done work to the vehicle and had more work that needed to be done. I explain that the front end had just been rebuilt and that the caster would be put on the alignment. I even went as far as to explain to the guy how easy the camber was to adjust. He assured me the mechanics knew what they were doing. I paid almost $1000 for four new tires and they never adjusted the camber on the alignment that I paid for. Furthermore I had explained to my friend at the counter that the rear lugs were rusted and worn. An issue I was aware of and plan to fix this week. I explained that if they simply used an appropriate wrench instead of an air tool to install just the rear lugs that there wouldn’t be an issue. Sure enough they broke the stud and tried to charge me to replace them. Tried to tell me that I couldn’t take my vehicle in that condition that they had made worse. I had a Major engine-problem with my 2005 Envoy . To complicate matters, I was covered by carshield insurance. After it being towed to two other local Service facilities that were deemed as major engine experts, Neither facility would repair the vehicle. Carshield called Pep Boys and they accepted the job with carshield’s terms of guaranteeing the work for 12 months or 12,000 miles. I did have out-of-pocket expenses and as they got into the job, the head could not be milled it needed to be replaced Which added more out-of-pocket expenses. But in the end, Glenn and Darren at Pep Boys worked with me on the out-of-pocket expenses into my surprise save me over $500 from the original quote! They communicated with me throughout the entire Repair process of effectively And continually to ensure I was in the loop the entire time. I applaud them both and the Mechanic who fix my car and Pep Boys.! Thank you

I took my car into Pep Boys because it started to overheat when I was on the road, and it was close by. They were able to get me into an appointment the next day, kept me updated on the status of my car, and were right on with the estimated cost. Glenn and Darren were kind and informative and applied available coupons without me asking. I will be getting my car serviced there in the future. It was stress-free experience.
